Can i register him with AKC?
My dog is a purebred bichon frise with no papers and his parents had no papers and i was wondering if the akc checked him out and confirmed he was purebred, could i get him licensed?
The AKC doesn't "license" dogs.
You can list your dog with the PAL/ILP service with the akc, if he is clearly purebred Bichon. He'll need to be neutered (which if this the the year old dog you have, it should have been done 6 months ago) and you'll have to jump through the AKC's hoops, but it's not that bad. http://www.akc.org/reg/ilpex.cfm is the information on it.
The only real reason to do this is if you are planning on showing him in companion events within the AKC, or if you have a need to have him papered.
