what is a list of questions that a breeder might ask a potential buyer?
PLEASE READ**
i'm getting a companion great dane puppy from a reliable breeder (who is an AKC judge- she knows her stuff). so, could someone please give me a list of questions that she might ask me? i just want to be prepared and not sound like "uhhhh, well, umm, oh yeah!" and then get to answering the question.
please include as many as possible
also if you could list your experience with the breed (great danes) or breeding in general that would be great

akc.org probably has some great informatino in the breeder resource section.
I dont' have lots of time so will come and edit later if Ire mbmer but basically there are three I ALWAYS ask first on the phone before I even let them come and see pups.
1) Why do you want this breed, what are you looking for.
2) do you have experience with this breed. Would you like to see my website with links to resources.
3) how long since you had puppy?
4) whose dog is it going to be...
Basically try to ask open ended questions that get them talking and listen for information from there you can expand and have conversation about dogs in general. Watch how they handle the pups if you get them to that point... ask more than 3 to get more of whole story. then trust your gut

Where I can find a Afghan Hound breeder?
I want to start showing and breeding in the conformation and the race that I start is the Afghan hound. I have reviewed the AKC site, but could not breeders listed so if anyone knows any reputable breeder of top of your head can you please post a link to your website so you can contact them.
Very risky race to start, are a lot of work. I absolutely hate peeling layers, it is difficult to get revenge. Start with the Afghan Hound Club of America and start from there. http://clubs.akc.org/ahca/
