I am buying a dog tomorrow what do authentic AKC registration papers look like?
I am going to go look at an English bulldog tomorrow the breeder claims it is AKC registered, what should authentic AKC registeration papers look like I want to be sure I am not being cheated.

here is a link from the akc as to what one should look like. But you won't recieve the papers for the pup it will be mailed to you from the akc when your information has been recieved to the akc from the breeder. This is why its good to see the papers that way you can go back to the akc and make a complaint if you never recieve any papers from the breeder cause anyone can show you a pedigree and say a dog is registered but the breeder has to actually register the liter. I've seen a few people in my day who have faked pedigrees. Good luck and hopefully everything works out.
