Whats the difference with registries with dogs like AKC and others?
Why is it bad to buy a dog thats not registered by AKC or a different thing and how is it different? Also why shouldnt you buy a dog from a pet store? I got a Dachshund from a pet store and it was kept clean and you got to go in a little room and play with it so it was well socialized with. Also it had no health problems or anything so far. (I want a Chihuahua)
AKC, UKC (United Kennel Club) and CKC (Canadian Kennel Club) are legit registries.They have strict rules and regulations governing purebred dogs, they keep careful records of pedigrees, the members that make up these registries are the Parent Clubs of the breeds represented by the registries.They keep strict standards of the breeds, etc
Other registries also known as scam registries will register anything, don't have strict standards, aren't endorsed by the breed parent clubs, were established so that irresponsible breeders could "register" dogs that weren't able to be registered in a legit registry, can't be proven to be purebred, whose breeders are suspended form doing business with a legit registry, etc. The papers from these type of registries are worthless.
As for pet store puppies..pet store puppies come from mills or other irresponsible sources.They are usually illbred, often have bad temepraments and health issues, aren't always purebred even though sold as such, etc.
CKC (Continental Kennel Club) is NOT bigger then AKC or UKC. It is true it is "easier" to register with them because it is nothing more then a bogus registry that will register virtually anything out there. They are not held in high regard by responsible breeders. No responsible breeder uses scam registries to register their dogs...run fast from breeders that do...
Oh and Great Danes are not a mix of Bull dog and Greyhound.In fact the Great Dane is an ancient breed going back as far as ancient Rome and Greece.. The use of the Egyptian Greyhound, Irish Wolfhound and Mastiff actually created the Dane we have now. The Germans and the English had the most influence in the development of the modern Great Dane.

AKC ConKC to transfer?
Is there any way to transfer CKC (continental) AKC registration? Knowing that my dog is not a mixed breed but has CKC registration (I guess b / c it was more cheap) I can transfer my AKC dog? My dog is a Miniature Pinscher
No. With KC does not have good reputation and is used by BYB and puppy mills to sell spoiled puppies for more money.
