Akc Toy Poodle Q&A
Poodle missing teeth, major fault in show ring? If 4 in a row are missing/pulled will she be disqualified?
I have a toy poodle whom had two baby teeth co-located with two adult teeth, lower jaw, incisors 403 and 303 next to the canines. The baby teeth were pulled by the vet along with all the adult teeth between 403 & 303 which included 402, 401, 301, & 302. I am distressed that I will now not be able to show her in either the UKC or AKC ring.
As my mum runs a training club which isregistered with the Kennel club (UK), we are sent a free copy of The Kennel Gazette (KC official magazine/journal).
Quite often there arelists ofdogswhich have had various surgeries and are applying for permission to be shown. These range from the pulling of teeth, to repair of ruptured cruciate ligaments, to the amputation of tails. You may need to ask permission from the relevant association inyour area for permission to continue sowing your dog. Permission should be granted as the removal of teeth will not make that much a difference on the overall balance and quality of the dog.
Hope this helps, and good luck in your showing career!

Akc Toy Poodle Q&A
Breeding a dog breed to another?
My mother insists that if a purebred dog of a breed that is bred to another purebred dog of a different race than the female is then "never equals" and woman puppies future (even if the two races are the same) can not be recorded by a "shouting" with a dog of another breed. I think this is totally stupid, and have been told that this is not true. Please tell me your opinions. I think this is an old story TOTAL genetically and scientifically can not be a fact. His AKC Pinscher became pregnant with my miniature poodle AKC toys, now she thinks her Minpin can NEVER be bred again, because she will have "blood poodle" in it, and says that "the screws with the chemistry of the female to be bred to another breed of dog." His wife is only registered, no titles or anything, it shouldn't be set to start. My poodle is in its final stage of a CH. Someone please tell me this is BS so you can rub on your face?
You are right. Is nothing but an old story. It is impossible that the genes of another dog to stay in the mother once she has given birth. It's like saying that a woman's husband had a son she gave birth # 1 for the second time since husband # 2, the child will have the genes of her husband # 1 and # 2.
