Akita Dog Breeder Q&A

i have an akita when should i breed her?

to all you that answered my question. i've bred dogs for 5 years and they've all gone to good homes but this will be the first akita ive bred i've read up on breeding and i've spoke to breeders im not being an irresponsable breeder thats why im getting as much info as possible.
ok
so if you have any info please share it with me.
and yes shes had all her tests done and yes shes 2.

Is your dog a CH?
Do you have a mentor?
Why are you asking on Y!A?
Do you have a CH stud dog?
Did you get your dog from a responsible breeder?

If you were respnsible, you would *RESEARCH* in books and online, PLUS going to dog shows, not on Y!A. BYB.

Akita Dog Breeder Q&A

Would it be helpful to have this breed of dog?

Right now, I'm very interested in the Akita breed. I read up on it and have called and talked to farmers for a while, and much of the information is not consistent. Some say you should not have more dogs at the same time owning an Akita, while others say it has more Akita dogs have a right, introduce whenever (at least Akita) at an early age. I'm pretty sure I can handle this race, but I'm worried about buying one, because I have other dogs. Another thing that confused me was a site saying something like "you should never allow your Akita to be trained by someone other than yourself, even by professionals ". I have this to some extent, because of how the race may be, but even professionals? Often know what they are doing. I only have information consistent! Some make it sound as horrible Akita breed, while others almost promote the race.

I HAVE AN AKITA! I totally agree - Do not let anyone else train your dog - with me on this. Trust breeds of dog are wonderful later. That practically house trained. Never bark unless provoked. They can be left home for many hours and need only thirty minutes a day to be happy. (Road to my dog for two hours) My Akita is very friendly with other dogs in my family. That said - These dogs are very dominant and expected leader of the pack. This could cause problems with other dogs, said most of the dogs back to Akita. Mainly because of their size and power. (Not all dogs) I am looking to buy another Akita as soon as possible. They are great with kids, home guards impressive great with other pets provided they are socialized well and is friendly. YOU MUST BE THE PACK LEADER ALPHA with this race however.
