How much are dogs and cats from breeders?
I'm thinking of either getting an Akita or Shiba Inu from a breeder, but would like to know the price before I get my heart set on it. Also I'm definitely getting a cat. (Don't know what breed.) So just a general price would be much appreciated.
Can't tell you on cats other than bengals since i have never bought a cat from a breeder and bengals can be 1000+ even for pet quality.
A well bred shiba or akita is going to run you around 700-800 at minimum.

Mallory for the love of god stop trying to guilt; and yes its a guilt tactic, people into adopting. not everyone one want a secondhand animal. Get that through your head. There will ALWAYS be shelter animals. ALWAYS. Not buying from good breeders won't help that situation because one has nothing to do with each other.
