American Airlines charged my credit card a $20 fee without telling me.?
When I made a reservation online with American Airlines they sent me an e-mail that they wanted me to call a toll free number to verify my credit card info. After verifying my credit card info they sent me an e-mail with a recight. The e-mail confirmation showed a $20 charge for purchasing a ticket by phone. I psurchased the ticket online and they charged me just to call them back and verfiy my crdit card. What a scam!
I called Discover Card to dispute the charge. Will American try to lie and say that I agreed to this charge?
The trip was on June 5th. American billed my credit card May 22nd and May 23rd.
They may not have to lie. The $20 fee is probably buried in the fine print online.
But let them prove it.
