Taking beer on board a flight from the UK to the US.?
This is in regards to cans of / bottled beer.
I will be traveling with American Airlines and departing from the U.K. I also have a connecting flight in Chicago that will take me to my destination in Denver.
I wanted to take some traditional English ale's for my friend in the states since they don't have them there.
Would there be any problems with the U.S customs if I store them in my suitcase
Also would the pressure in the cargo hold have any effect on glass / canned beer?
It is not a problem as long as you declare it on your customs form. Pressure should not be a problem but I would not pack glass bottles as TSA's is probably going to open your bags and they do not repack them the same way you did. Which means you will have beer all over your clothes. You will have better luck with cans.

Baggage allowance for the UK?
I'm flying to London Heathrow in a couple of days and need to know that I am in the category of free baggage allowance. At American Airlines says that "flights to Europe "only allow check-in and a handbag, but" international travel "are allowed to check in two and 1 continue?. should I stick https: with? / / Www.aa.com/aa/i18nForward.do? P = / travelInformation / baggage / baggageAllowance.jsp and anchorEvent = false
will pay for second bag unless ticket was booked far in advance
