Anyone have any puppies for sale?
I am looking for a family dog that can also be a guard dog. I want a pit bull terrier, an american staffordshire terrier, or an american bulldog. I am willing to pay up to $100 for the puppy. I would perfer a female but I am fine with a male also. I AM NOT looking to raise the dog to fight. So don't worry about that. I live in Norwood, Ohio which is right in the middle of Cincinnati. Please let me know if you can help me out!
I want them from a small puppy. I already looked on craigslist and petfinder and they don't have any small puppies. There are no breeds I am looking for in the shelter. And I am not looking for a breeder. I would prefer someone who already has a pregnant dog and doesn't want all the puppies.
If you truly have good intentions for those breeds, adopt adopt adopt! No respectable breeder would sell for that low anyway, only puppy mills would. Like the other user recommended, puppy finder is great to find specific rescue dogs in your area. Also, you can try "pit bull terrier rescue in your location" into Google, as well as adoptapet which I will link too. You can search everything you want, including how far you will travel.
That being said, terrier breeds are not meant to be guard dogs. Watch dogs, yes meaning they will bark and thus alert you quickly. American Bull dog is listed on the list below as a sufficient guard dog but mainly guard dogs are more along the lines of bull mastiff, doberman, rottweiler which are also available in many rescues. Add: I thought you were looking for a guard dog? Now, it's a small puppy? You realize puppies grow, very quickly, and the breeds you are looking into aren't poodles. Puppies stop being cute very quickly, especially ones from an accidental pregnancy because they are often not brought up properly. They are going to be bigger and puppies take A LOT of work, that being said, your rescue as well the links provided do have puppies available.
Sometimes it just takes time for them to come in, because they are the most popular .You haven't done any research at all it seems, wait a few more years before you buy a dog.
