American Revolution Political Cartoon Q&A

Political Cartoon on some Georgia stuff for reason of American Revolution?

my teach told me to do a political cartoon on these subjects:
French and Indian War
Proclamation of 1763
Stamp Act
Intolerable Act
Declaration of Independence.

i really need some help. they have to be funny and and kind of sarcastic

I can imagine you need some help here.
What is your teacher smoking?
I thought about ONE, the French and Indian War.
Which, by the way, has absolutely NOTHING to do with the State of Georgia whatsoever.

Maybe one will help you out.
The French and Indian War, because it was fought by so many DIFFERENT people, had a DOZEN DIFFERENT NAMES.

So many little wars had been fought over this new country that they had kind of run out of proper names.

PLUS the fact that with the British & British Americans, there were the Native American nations of Iroquois (actually the entire Confederacy), the Catawba, and the Cherokee.
On the French side, you had, of course, the French but you also had the French Canadians, and NINE Native American nations.

The BRITISH AMERICANS called it the "French and Indian War".
The BRITISH called it the "Seven Years War".
Some BRITISH historians call it the "Fourth Intercolonial War" AND the "Great War for the Empire".
The FRENCH call it "Guerre de Sept Ans".
The FRENCH CANADIANS call it the "Guerre de la Conquête" (War of the Conquest)
God only knows what the Natives called it.

I thought maybe for a political cartoon you could have two hills, one on each side, one with a British flag, one with a French flag.
Kind of from the waist up you could have an officer, a regular soldier, and some Native Americans in T-shirts with the different names of their nations on them, like a baseball team.... on both sides.

Since we don't know French, you can have the British officer say something like , "I say chap, exactly WHICH war is this? The Fourth Intercolonial War?"

The French Officer says, "Ze Guerre de Sept Ans!"

The French Canadian soldier says, "No! Ze Guerre de la Conquête!"

The British American says, "I thought it was the Seven Year War."

Native American #1 says, "It's the Indian and the French War!"

Native American #2 says, "It's the Indians Kick Butt War!"

Native American #3 says, "Are we on the right team?"

Native American #4 says, "Is this the same war we were in last week?"

On the French side here's some more well known Native nations that you can pick from to put on their t-shirts;

Algonquin
Mohawk
Ojibwa
Ottawa
Shawnee

On the British side;

Cherokee
Iroquois
Catawba

Good luck kiddo!

American Revolution Political Cartoon Q&A

Political Cartoons by Bill Mauldin!?

political cartoon found here: Bill Mauldin was http://schools.connectionsacademy.com/content/media/108412-892006-20144-PM-2147171643.pdf to elaborate this cartoon to celebrate the anniversary of a famous event of the American Revolution. What was the event? Give evidence for your answer

1. The event at the left is more likely caricature Valley Forge. The conditions were U.S. soldiers can be found here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Valley_forge The evidence is badly dressed as soldiers standing in the snow and the receipt of promissory notes (IOU) to pay. The statement about mercenaries is meant to be ironic mercenaries in the struggle of real wages. 2. I'm not sure about the second (right cartoon). The man in the window is displaying a U.S. flag, but can be easily given to show the British flag. I would think he would be one of the loyalists. True you can read about here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/American_Revolutionary_War True #
