What's the Difference between an American Staffordshire Terrier and a Staffordshire Bull Terrier?

I mean staffies originate from the UK and amstaffs are from the USA plus they're bigger, but are there any other differences?

The Staffordshire Bull Terrier,American Pit Bull Terrier and American Staffordshire Terrier all share common lineage.

The SBT is the smallest of the three.A result of the bulldog and terrier crosses that were bred and refined in England.The size,head shape and ear set are three distinct differences from the other breeds,if you know what you're looking for in well bred examples of each breed.

Next in line is the APBT.Another breed that was the result of the bulldog and terrier cross.It's start is in England,Ireland and Scotland.Later imported,refined and renamed in America.A breed with a long history as a canine warrior.Slightly larger,with more variation than the SBT.

The AmStaff was once the same breed as the APBT.When the AKC first registered the breed in 1936,they changed the name in an effort to distance themselves from the history of the APBT.The purpose of the breed also changed.As mostly a show dog,it also changed in appearance.It is now a larger,blockier dog than the APBT.

There are some differences in drive and animal aggressiveness.The APBT likely being the most drivey and animal aggressive,followed by the SBT and AmStaff in that order.
