Australian Blue Heeler Mix Shepherd Q&A

How do i train my 7 month old puppy how to shake, roll-over, and jump?

He is an Australian Shepherd mixed with Blue Heeler.

He already knows how to sit and lay. I want to teach him how to do other things.

Also, what other things do they love to do, besides herding.

shake: get him to sit, gently pick up his paw, tell him shake, and give him a treat. repeat several times daily. Eventually, the dog will catch on.

Roll over: Tell your dog to lay down. roll him over on his back, rub his belly, praise him, and give him a treat. Repeat.

Jump: I don't know what the "ideal" method is, but here are two methods that work. If you are thinking about hurdles, set up a low Barrier that your dog can step over in a doorway, positioned so that he has no choice but to walk over it. call him from the opposite side of the door, and when he steps over, praise him and give him a treat. Repeat, gradually raising the height of the hurdle. for jumping in the air, directly up, you can hold the treat above his head and have him jump up to get it.

Australian Blue Heeler Mix Shepherd Q&A

mate I owe my dog?

In a good year I will be getting a house with a backyard. When I do, I'd like to get my dog a companion. I have an Australian Shepherd, Catahoula, and blue heeler mix, who is a year old and very intergetic! He does not seem too much to other dogs until HETS to know them, so hopefully this will not be a problem. But I'm looking for a medium dog, medium-small as a playmate. Does anyone have any suggestions on good races? Well, to better explain the aggression ..... he's just very demanding in that it likes. They are just about dogs liked, but others are getting into fights. I think if we have a puppy that would well. I have two cats playing right now.

Do not listen to Wenk, the dog fight if you do not get along. Its not safe. The best race is usually the same. It also depends gender, male hes most likely would like a woman. WARNING As you know women get .. xD pregnant so if you do not want puppies, obtain sterile. Always use the strap on the introduction of new dogs, just in case.
