Australian Shepherd Texas Q&A
I take my dog outside, inside in the winter?
PLEASE only solutions - no rude comments. We have a year 1. old Boxer / Australian Shepherd mix dog. Now she is a dog outside. She is very hyper and untrained (not house broken, you can sit from time to time to order - but that's all). It is starting to go out cold. We live in Texas, so that the night is doing about 45. We would like to bring it into the night to escape the wind and cold, but she goes crazy. We have a laundry in the garage to try putting it in last night with blankets and toys, but she went crazy scratching on the door and crying. Since, obviously, does not want any damage to the house, put your back out. I know it is wrong and we're supposed to be strong and that will stop time. She was very happy and seemed to sleep very well on your dog home. How can you begin to sleep inside?

Read previous articles. The last link is a site that was developed for children, however, has many tricks that are easy to teach, as well as step by step instructions of teaching commands. Why, you ask, am I the education of trick training? Well ..... so that your dog is a good inside dog, must have a combination of physical and mental. Especially a great power play as an Australian grazing. In all honesty, there is a good chance that their dog developing many behavioral problems and aggression issues if left out all the time. While I understand that dogs do many and only the dogs out ...... Australian left in a chair all day usually does not, and both you and the dog will be the ones to pay the price. So this is a crash-course on grazing property race 101. There is no good step by step process for this right now because everything will be done at the same time. The bad news is that the first two weeks probably hell you and consume a large amount of his time. The good news is that herding breeds are very intelligent, and you can have a well-mannered, obedient dog and a response in two weeks. First, crate train. Second, keep the dogs for a walk and find what you teach can help you to spend some energy in the backyard. Keep a structured schedule exercise time and downtime. Oh, and remember, 1 year old the dog is still a baby. start trick training. These dogs are mentally very strong, and mental exertion can exhaust as much as physical. Get a full routine of running commands and tricks. Ask anyone who actually works their dogs. The 21 minutes a day your dog is actually competition in a grazing trial will make the dog sleep like the dead for the next 2 days because there is a high mental component to it. If a fighter or rescue Australians in your state, give them a call and explain what you are doing and ask them if they have any volunteers in the area that could come by your house and give your family a lesson on how to train your dog. Most rescues are to succeed so they do not finish with your dog later .... so you send through someone knowledgeable to help you learn how to teach your dog. Although I know this sounds very useful the problem is that although they are asking for help on one issue, it is all connected, and that a problem not be solved without all the other building blocks in place. To resolve this problem would be to write a book here, which is not reasonable. Just read the previous articles, and call a rescue and get help at home of someone who has faced these same problems over and over again. Think about it: Check out the website of the Australian boxer rescue ..... are tons of dogs for adoption through these bailouts that have overcome these problems, which is a solution for them. Take the time to train now, and that the next 10 years of his life this dog sooo much easier.
