Australian Shepherd Trim Q&A
Can I feed my dog raw lamb?
I trimmed the fat off of some lamb to marinade it, and I want to know if it's safe to feed my Australian Shepherd. It's not 100% fat...just highly marbled with fat, and too fatty for what I'm preparing.
Its fine.. since its mostly fat tho, I would feed in small amounts. Dogs do need some fat in their diet.
Raw meat is fine to give to a dog, there are many people who feed their dogs nothing but raw meat. I give my crested bits of raw meat as a treat.

Australian Shepherd Trim Q&A
Any advice on the implementation of the first line to your dog's skin?
I have an Australian Shepherd mix of cocker spaniel .. she has some pretty wild hair, even when adjusted downward as it is now. have trouble getting any type of terrain to your scalp, skin so that the first line sticks and soak in, it's just a difficult part of his crazy hair. Any advice on how to get a good application?
Hello! I have an Aussie, too! My Aussie is like Urs. What I do is cut a little bald (do not worry, itll grow back in no time) around the shoulder area, then apply a little. If you can not, try first wet. Hope this helps!
