Does anyone know a breeder of rottweiller/bernese mountain dog cross pups?
It's hilarious to post a question on this site and watch the venom come out in so many- and so quickly! Obviously some of you have nothing else to do in your day but wait to pounce on people.
Thank you to the few who gave honest/heartfelt responses....
My husband loves the Rottweiler's loyalty and temperament - and I love the Bernese Mountain dog's happy go lucky attitude and love of all people and animals...
I have been researching the Bernese Mountain dog breed for some time. I have reviewed the Berner Garde site which gives us the longevity of the Bernese from different breeders. As much as we love the Bernese, the short life span of the full breed scares us - which is why we chose to look at a "designer breed" at this time....
I think we can agree that some of the longest living dogs are the "mixed" breeds....and the healthiest...
Oh - and we would like a puppy that we can socialize/acclamate to our home and to our other 2 dogs and to our friends/relatives etc
Wow I don't think you all understand that allot of dogs were cross breed to get the "pure breeds" we have today. LOOK it up peeps.
maybe there is good reason to cross these two dogs and a good breeder will take the best specimens of both and breed, than they take the best from that litter so on and so on until they get the "pure breed"
they are looking for.
My sister has Rottweiler/bernese mountain and He is the BEST I love that dog.
sorry not to answer your question good luck finding your type of DOG and remember even Mutts deserved to be loved. after all we are pretty much all mutts ourselves. and they make great dogs 2.
