What should I expect from a bichon frises?
I found a bichon frise puppy (6-7months) at a local humane society and I'm looking to make him part of the family. He was a rescue dog from what I think was a puppy mill. They say he is a little shy but should warm up. I can't get him until at least August 2 but I'm just looking for what to expect that books can't tell you. Like "Will they have a problem with getting excited and peeing everywhere?" or "What to expect the first night he's home" Anyone what to help?

don't start out chasing the pup...start him off on a small space or a songle room. Let him come to you.Just sit down and relax...don't call him...just sit there, and let him check you out...that'll help with the shyness a lot. Take things a bit slow at first. He'll be a ery bright little guy, but they're stubborn, so be prepared to go to a training class. They do tend to be a little hard to housetrain , too. Get a crate, and learn how to use it. They're really one person dogs, so really take a class...learn how to manage his desire to protect you. If you let him have his way he could become a little ankle biter.

Can you help us find the dog right?
We are looking for a toy poodle bichon Frise or havenese. We are willing to spend about 300ish for the dog. We live in Vancouver WA, Portland Oregon area. Already lloked in human society and rescue groups and may have found one, but we keep looking. Thanks for helping us find the right dog and setting Or rude NO COMMENTS PLEASE!
Have you tried Petfinder.com? I searched the location and found 692 dogs and 112 Bichon Frise Havenese. They can not be right where you are, but in his viciniety:) Yes, there could be up to date. This is not trying to be rude .. But for $ 300 (race) ... has heard the term .. Champagne taste with a beer budget ... LOL ..
