How Many Puppies Will A Blue Heeler Usually Have?
I have a Blue Heeler puppy that was born in February of 2008. We are going to breed her to the neighbor's Blue Heeler male in the spring. She has been in heat 1 time. If you have had a Blue Heeler have pups for the first time, how many did she have? Any other info would be helpful. Please don't post something from a website, I want your personal experience! Thanks so much!

We got our red heeler from a six pup litter and when she had puppies of her own, she had eight. We did wait to breed her until she was a three, though. She handled it really well and was a natural mother. We kept her and the puppies in the house, letting her out for walks and to get a break from the pups nursing all the time. The only thing I have to add is that she didn't let anyone near the puppies except for one or two people and was very protective. So, if your heeler growls at you to not touch, she will bite you if you do it anyway. They're going to be super cute babies! Hope you have a great litter and CONGRATS!!

What color is blue heeler puppies?
I have a puppy last year and the previous owners, said the patch (my dog) was a blue heeler puppy, but he is white and black spots. He is too small to be a Dalmatian. Turned one year old in December
usually gray with black spots (in the ears and some in the body) So in parts of the mouth and feet sometimes in the chest. do a Google image search and see what I mean. Hope this helps!
