Information about a Boxer?
We are looking to get a new puppy this spring. Right now we are leaning towards a Boxer. I have done lots of online research, but I want to hear from ppl that own Boxers what their opinion and experiences have been. We have 3 children ages 12, 9, and 5, and we have always had dogs. (Ours died in the spring from complications of surgury) Thanks!
BTW...We have always had small dogs, our largest being the pug/boston that recentaly passed. So this would be a BIG dog for us
Hi, I have had 3 boxer rescue boys over the years, and by far they are the most kind natured, gentle animals I have ever owned. All my boys have been from rescue shelters so I have never dealt with the puppy stages, but from what I've seen they can be a bit of a hadful as most puppies would be. They seem to be quite an intelegent breed, it's all in the tone of voice which you speak to them. I have two children, both were small when we got our first boy and he was very gentle with my son who would be quite boisterous around him, and our latest rescue is the very best of friends with our now 11 y.o son, following him everywhere. Boxers have a heart of gold. Enjoy!
