Boxer Puppies For Adoption Q&A
Do boxer dogs have weak genes?
I've recently been looking for a boxer/boxer mix puppy to adopt, and I've noticed that all of the "boxer mixes" I've encountered don't seem to look like boxers at all. Is this because boxers have weaker genes than other breeds? Maybe they are recessive compared to others?
I thought for a while that maybe people just want to make a little more money off of breeding mutts, and they think they can do so by calling them boxer mixes, but I've also met with a few people who had the parents on site, and one or the other was definitely a full-blooded boxer. These people didn't want more than a $20 adoption fee for their pups, so you know they weren't out to make money, but the puppies didn't look anything like boxers.
What's the deal?
The difference between whether a boxer mix looks like a boxer or the other dog is the dog. If the mum was a boxer, they would have more boxer in them. If the Female was a different breed ( which is more common) then the mix would look more like the other dog. Boxers need to be bred inside their own genus to look fully boxer. A boxer's genes are not weaker. There's no such thing as weak or strong genes. It is how they work together to form the body that is how an animal looks. The DNA in the parents is just spliced. That's pretty much it.

Boxer Puppies For Adoption Q&A
Help prepare for an inspection of the house!?
Well I'm adopting a lab / boxer puppy mix tomorrow and I need help to prepare. The foundation of adoption has to do house checks and inspections to ensure that it is a good place for the dog. Any advice please? Thank you.
I think the main concern is safety garden area - we're talking about a 6-foot fence with a pin. The house will not have to be perfect but you need cables to chew proof doors and stairs stairs and rooms that are not well suited are also needed.
