What are some good ways of training a boxer puppy or dog?
My husband and me might be getting a boxer dog or puppy soon...i know thats the kind of dog he wants bad! been talking about it forever now lol...But im wanting to get good training first beause my daughter is only 3 years old and she screams sometimes and gets anwry! jumps alot and laughs like a normal 3 year old would do...i just want to make sure that the dog will not snap at her for being too loud! so can someone please give me good advice on how to raise a boxer dog? or give me sites if you have them...anything will help. thanks so much. :0)
educate yourself about the breed. Check out the boxer club of america and find a reputable breeder. Know how to find a good breeder, there should be guidelines on the clubs website. Adopting an older dog is a good option too.
Never leave a dog or puppy alone with kids. No matter what the breed, always supervise. Dogs are dogs and a lot of kids don't know how to act around them. Your daughter is pretty young so maybe waiting until she is older is a good idea if your going for a puppy. Puppies go through teething and are very playful. Boxers are pretty energetic and easily excitable in general. Definately take your dog or puppy to obediance classes and continue to train throughout their lifetime.
