I want to rescue a boxer, will they care if I have 5 pets already?

I have 3 cats and 2 dogs. My dog breeds are shih tzu/bichon and the other is king charles cavalier spaniel/bichon. We live in the city. My two dogs are not at all snippy, they are very well behaved boys and get along with both of my grandmas dogs. I'm just a bit worried considering the boxer is a bigger dog. They told me that this particular boxer I am looking at likes dogs, cats and kids so maybe I shouldn't be so worried. I just don't want the boxer not to like my other two dogs which may just be the case once they meet.

My two dogs were GREAT with my other dog who died. She was a yellow lab. What is your opinion? Do you think 2 smaller dogs will do fine with a boxer who likes dogs?

I don't see where the number of dogs / pets in your household would be a problem if they are cared for properly.

Most rescues will call references - including your current vet. If all your pets are maintained correctly and up to date on their vaccinations, they are kept licensed in your community (if the laws require it) etc - you should have NO problems adding another dog to your household.

Most rescues just want to know that you can afford to take on the responsibility of another dog before they will place one in your home. If your current pets are cared for properly, then they shouldn't have any objections with this placement.
