Breeding Cycle Dog Q&A
What would make a dog have a really quick heat cycle?
i was planning on breeding my rottweilers this time that my female came into heat. well one day i checked her and she was bleeding and the next day i checked her again and she wasn't bleeding and i tried to breed them but she was out of heat. and i don't understand what would make her go out so quickly. i tried to breed them several time but with no luck. i have breed her before and she has had a litter of pups. i have breed him to other females and had three different litter of pups. him and all the other females are brucelosis negative.
i have had her checked by a vet since when she was 18 months she got an open pyometrea and had to be on a lot of antibiotics. my vet said that she was fine.
Some dogs have what are called "split cycles" in which they can come into heat within 3 months of their last cycle, instead of the normal 6 months. Cycles do not last "a day"; and bleeding isn't the only indicator of a heat. We suggest you have your female checked by a vet to make sure she doesn't have some other physical issue going on (like cysts or ovarian cancer, etc.)

Breeding Cycle Dog Q&A
breeding a dog with one testicle?
ok I have a border Colly, chiwowo, mix and has only one testicle and is the runt of the litter. who just turned one and is beginning to enter a cycle. Now I wondered if it would be safe to raise him by the fact that he had one of his testicles. and for being a dwarf. let me now and I would feed acurite back and sorry for the spelling.
ROTFL. Nice try at a troll question, but no. But no, you should not breed a dog with one testicle.
