I am planing to buy a dog. Can anyone tell me about breeders or good places I can buy them from?
Hi all,
I am planning to get a bicho frise.
I went to a few adoption shelters but they did not
have any hypo-allergenic breeds.
What they had was mostly pit bulls.
If any one of you know any place where I can buy them,
or better still if you know of any breeder,
please let me know...

Did you check out petfinder.com and look for the breed you want? I work with a rescue and there are always TONS of dogs waiting for homes, not all pitbulls. We pull small dogs all the time from a kill shelter that on average euthanizes 12 a week (and thats just ONE shelter in the US).
If you do go with a breeder, please make sure you find a responsible one. It should be someone who takes the time to find the right homes for their dogs, get all of them vetted, and check out where the dogs live to make sure they aren't some sort of puppy mill. I don't mean to sound annoying, but a dog dies every 2 seconds in the US because of overpopulation problems.
