Monkeys & other primates are (almost?) always illegal. They also make horrible pets. There tends to be major rushes on them every time a cute one gets on tv (Friends, Dunston movies, etc). We get to see all the cute stuff without all the negatives. Monkeys are VERY intelligent and are not domesticated enough to make good pets. They can be very unpredictable and very dangerous. You're also unlikely to find a vet that knows much about them, making their health suffer. Please reconsider. Monkeys belong in the jungle.

You can not. As far as I'm aware of that can only be "not threatened Australia's "animal unless its a zoo. Of course there are exceptions, but many do not.
