Why is it forbidden to have ferrets in California and several other states?
A friend of mine had one and he was very friendly. Is it true that they're dangerous with kids? I've had rats before and it was a wonderful experience. I would love to adopt a ferret sooner or later. I'd like to strat research the animal so any help is appreciated. Thank you!
because fish and wildlife officals are idiots!!! yes they think they will be bad if abandoned in the wild but 1. ferrets are suposed to be altered and 2. they can't survive in the wild, they can't even survive as an outdoor pet!! ferrets have lost almost every wild instict they have. i have two ferrets and a 3 yr old as long as the child(ren)know how to propely hold and play with the ferret everything is fine!! i would still supervise playtime though as kids do forget things when they get excited. OH and kam_"whatever" educate yourself!!!! they make great pets and i wish i could live in Cali i would be fighting harder for ferrets to be legal there, i'm trying to do all i can to help out by supporting ferret anonymous( yeah i cant spell that) anyway check out these sites ferret.org; essentialferretguide.com; ferretfacts.com and google ferret anon. they will have the right spelling. hope this helps
