Doggie Dental help please?
Hi,
So one of my dogs has REALLY bad teeth, we took him to the vet and they said he has no infection of the gums, no infected teeth or anything like that and they have booked him in for dental work tomorrow. One of my other dogs teeth are getting just as bad (but i have no idea why because i brush them once a week) they are both King Charles Cavalier Spaniels the one with really bad teeth is about 5 the other one is 8 or 9. Is there anything i can do to prevent the other one needing dental work? I've been reading up on this spray you can spray in the dogs mouth and it prevents the bacteria from turning to plaque.
Any Ideas? tips?

Once the plaque has built up on the teeth the only way to get rid of it is to have their teeth cleaned. It can get expensive! You can try the spray after their teeth get cleaned and continue to brush the teeth, but more frequently than once a week.
