Hey, I'm considering buying a dog for me and my family. The dog that we have been considering for some time been a German Shorthaired Pointer, but due to housing we began to reconsider. Exercise and grooming does not matter, we are trying to find a dog that is suitable for an apartment. In addition, we prefer an medium to large dog that is active and playful. Can anyone recommend some races, please? Thanks. To the person about the weight limits, one of my neighbors has a St. Bernard, so I'm pretty sure the weight limits will not be a problem at all.
Good Shepard are good dogs, but I recommend laboratories Black or chocolate labs or even a Golden lab, very intelligent, not very good in apartments, if you walk enough times a day. Great family dogs around children and the elderly. Very loyal to cons ... - Are known to get hip / joint problems as they age, but this is if you take no really good care of them. large breed dogs are estimated to live about 10 to 12 years only human, but can live much longer if you again take good care really her / him. My most apartments and many apartment complex here in Tampa, Florida have a race resriction no weight for your information 
And the dogs are allowed large breed. But you may want to consult your apartment, but I'm sure you already have if that is the size of your family has decided. If you are willing and have the time for his broken family and walking the animal and provide edequate execersize I do not see why you can not have a big race in a apartment.
