Why does my dog like Iams dog food so much better?
I have fed my dog puppy chow then dog chow as he has gotten older. Last week Menards had some Iams dog food on sale for $4 and you turn in a coupon and its free, so I thought what the heck and bought 2 bags.
My dog loves it. He gobbles it right up.
He usually looks at the dog chow and takes a nibble or 2 then picks at it.
The Iams is like heaven for him and I can hear him smacking his chomps and gobbling it right up.
Whats the difference and how much does a 50 lb bag of Iams cost? I think we are changing dog food.

Most of grocery store dog food formulas, like Purina, Pedigree,and etc contain "meat and bone meal" which has been known to contain dead dogs and cats that were euthanized in animal shelters. Their bodies are picked up and bought by the truck load by "rendering plants" , that also pick up road kill, dead live stock, and etc. They are shredded, and boiled. They skim off the fat on the top of the "soup" and collected it and sell it to pet food companies as "animal fat", the rest of the animals' remains are crushed up, dried and sold to dog and cat food companies as meat and bone meal.

Here is an article where the owner of a rendering plant talks about it. He says that cremating the dead shelter animals would cause pollution, and that rendering them is good.

husky mix food for sale?
Hello. I'm looking to buy a chow chow husky mix puppy. I would like a male. I live in PA so I wish it were true what about Limerick, PA. (Must be in PA) I have a son 10 years old, so it must be good with children and my mother lives with me too well with everyone, basically. thanks. Ah ... and live in a house and not have a backyard ... but we have a neighbor hood walk around for us, and a large grassy field to run in. you can, stop making it sound like I'm a terrible person .... irrisponsible to get a street dog .... not have a backyard! so just answer my question or go away
It's really more of the person you want to buy it is being irresponsible. People who intentionally racial group only for the money. To them Like any old cross breed and then give it a fancy name and call it a new type. This trick ignorant people into believing they are receiving something of great value when Actually, it's just a mutt! Not that there's anything wrong with mutts! Not bad that people are farming for the money, and without regard for the health of the dog. So it's best to go to a shelter if you want a mix.
