What is a good food for a large dog?
I have decided to get a Newfoundland. I am trying to decide on the best food possible to feed him. I would love Orijen or Tast of The Wild but I live in Oneonta, Alabama and the only place sells these brands are about 4 hours away; 8 hours roundtrip and I just can't make that drive for a bag of food. So what large breed foods would be good for him? (Also, I know to switch him over slowly from the breeder's food)

And, I was thinking about calling him Braylon. What do you think of this name and/or do you have any other good suggestions? He will be either brown or gray.
What is the breeder feeding him right now? To find a good food, you may just have to do some leg work. Places to look: groomers, independent pet stores, some vet's offices, feed stores, farm stores, even hardware stores (I get my dog's food at ACE Hardware-I asked if they could order it for me, and they did). If you don't see the food you want around, just ask-What I did was just bring a list of foods I was willing to use, and asked them to see what they could get for me from that list. I wouldn't feed Orijen to your large breed puppy...I'd use something with less than 30% protein for certain.
