Check this website

Better to adopt, even if you have to wait a while. Its the right thing to do.

Poms are adorable. My friend has one she named Cujo! Too cute. Like many little dogs, they will try to rule the roost. It will be up to you to take charge from the beginning.

While you wait for your baby to arrive, read up on dog care and training, and read all you can find that is breed-specific to Poms. Attend some dog shows if you can, too.

I hope you find just the right pup.

Dog Breeders Colorado Q&A

Breeding Basset?

I have a 3 year old Basset and need a boyfriend so it can be a race, but there are two problems that keep running into. # 1 is that breeders do not want to raise my because they breed dog to "improve the race" and # 2 is that many studies Bassets are not in northern Colorado! Is there any websites where I could find a stud Basset? Do you know of anything that might help?!? I have not talked to farmers, except one, and this is my first time, even raising a dog! Every dog has its advantages, so it's not like that is not appropriate to reproduce. In addition, she had only have one litter in her life, and if the owners had problems with dogs Later, I will gladly have them back. Please help me, not Bob Barker.

If no reputable breeder will allow you to use their studies, that is a sign that either the b * tch is not worthy of breeding, or do not trust you to do good for the race (or both). Take the track. Sure, every dog has * some * good quality, but only those that in general its qualities outweigh its defects must be raised. If you really want to raise Bassets, take the time to learn about what you are doing, and start with dogs that are worthy. Did you know that Bassets often require a caesarean? Did you know that must be monitored 24 / 7 for two or three weeks after pups are born, they tend to lie on them and crush them? Do you know how to recognize primary and secondary inertia (common in Bassets)? Do you know what are the important characteristics are a Basset? Can you recognize the correct structure? Do you know what the proportions necessary to minimize the chances of back injury? Do you know how to test for Basset Hound Thrombopathia disease (fatal bleeding, to 25% of Bassets is estimated that companies - Generally no lines of program)? How about glaucoma (painful eye condition that requires removal of the eyes), here are some sites that may be useful, if you really want to learn and do the best we can. http://learntobreed.com/ http://dogplay.com/Breeding/ http://woodhavenlabs.com/breeding.html index.html
