I want to be a dog breeder?
I know about *BYB*s because I read about them on these dog forums. I am *not* going to be one!!! There is a specific breed I've owned and studyed and want to breed that and only that. I want to breed only the best health and try to make the breed healthier. I learned about genetics health testing from the internet. I'm 14. How can I learn more and be a breeder one day?
Start going to dog Shows so that you can get hands on familiar with the breed that you have chosen. You can do more research at the akc website as well. You should sign up to be a junior showman and get your foot through the door that way. This will give you all kinds of access to show breeders that can possibly mentor you.
Start trying to show before you think about getting into breeding. You are only 14 and it is expensive to do.
