Dog Breeders Havanese Q&A

Havanese dogs?

I took the test on animal planet and Havanese was my top resualt. I think I'm gonna ask my mom if I can get one in a year or so, after I save up enough money. Do you think these are a good breed for us?

Needs to be good with kids, other pets, and strangers.

Best if it was small.

Best if it was playful.

Needs to be easy to train.

Any sites would be GREAT and I'm also looking for a good, not to expensive breeder. I E-mailed some one, but I don't know about them, I read the site, but it didn't see much about what they do. I also found very good looking site, but with the shipping the pup would be 2k....
I was thinking of that, but a Bichon is a little larger then what I'm looking for. I did look on petfinder, and didn't see what I want there.
I don't worry much about groming, it would most likly be clipped anyways. And I think grooming is kinda fun.

A Bichon also fits all those guidelines and would probably be easier to obtain and quite a bit less $$.
You might try looking on petfinder or for breed-specific rescues, the dogs are UTD on shots, altered, evaluated as to temperament, and often housebroken and crate trained as well as usually being substantially cheaper than going out and getting a puppy.

Dog Breeders Havanese Q&A

Tips for when I go to the race fun day of my dog?

As some of you know of my previous questions, I and my family are thinking of buying a dog. This Sunday, we go to a fun day at Habaneros our local hall. it has lots of dogs and owners and breeders and a lot of chances to meet some really nice people. let's meet our players, we are currently hoping to have a puppy in December and I wonder if some of you have had any advice as to what questions to ask to it and what questions we should expect to be asked? Also, some tips on what to say and how to present ourselves to the people would be great:. Thank you very much)

1. Ask about the achievements of his dog - about health testing, temperament testing, conformation titles, and income from securities company. Let assume in his kennel and dogs that have been produced, run away if she can not tell you about your health or the test can not point to multiple dogs PROPERTY RACE for which they have earned some impressive honors. 2. Ask about their philosophy of parenting, what are your goals? Expect to hear many things that you do not understand about the nuances of racial, but also expect to hear specific targets on health or temperament and contributions or collaboration with other breeders. Flee if you can not articulate any goals or objectives include working alone instead of with other breeders. 3. Ask about the litter (s) specific plans, in particular who is interested what is the objective of this breeding? How does the studies include the dam? Why was it chosen? What are you waiting of the litter in terms of performance potential, temperament, etc.? Flee if the lists of "convenience" as a decisive factor in choosing a stud and explains that she is not waiting for any dog of "show quality" of the litter (why is she playing?).
