Dog Breeders In Washington State Q&A

Tibetan Terrier Information -Breeder Websites?

Hi!
I am very interested in tibetan terriers -they seem to meet everything that I want in a dog.
I currently have shih tzus and a yorkie, and I am really thinking I'd like a dog between 20-30lbs, with lots of hair, good trainability and a good personality.

Could you please divulge everything you know about these unique dogs?
If you have any websites for breeders in Washington State, could you give me the adresses?

Thanks ahead of time

please take no notice of the thumbs down -I am grateful for your answer and don't know why people reacted negativly to it.

I however don't appriciate the petfinder and dogster websites... there's zero info there, and I am not looking for a rescue dog.

Here is the website for the Tibetan Terrier Club of America:
http://www.ttca-online.org/

You'll find all sorts of great info here on breed standard, breeders, rescues, etc. Here is a good quote from their site:

"The Tibetan Terrier is not only successful in the conformation ring, but also in obedience, agility, flyball, rally and tracking. They can be quite energetic and the best way to channel that energy is to train. It takes patience and a really good sense of humor to work with a Tibetan. Initially, they were independent workers and the trait remains, usually surfacing at the most inconvenient time! They are an intelligent breed, wanting to know why they should do what you ask. The Tibetan should come with a label, “Positive Training Methods Required”, as the first harsh word will set your training back weeks. If you can laugh at yourself and enjoy an intelligent, lively companion who, most of the time, will do what you have taught, then, by all means, travel the Performance Trail with your Tibetan. The well-trained TT brings a unique joy and enthusiasm into the ring rarely seen in other breeds, and they are always a crowd pleaser."

Good luck!

Dog Breeders In Washington State Q&A

Would you pay more than $ 1000 for a dog?

We have been researching reputable breeders golden retriever ... (In Washington) We found a breeder and she has two parents on site with papers being dragged to the bottom of grandparents, real champion bloodlines, eyes / hips / ear spaces, etc. The breeder raises goldens for show / race champion and only to improve the standard for the golden retriever. Their offspring go for $ 1000 with a contract sterilization sterilization /. Is this a good average cost of offspring educated? Or is it too much to pay? The dog would like a family not a pet showdog.

The cost depends entirely on the race, the quality of the breeding etc. For a well-bred puppy, even one that is called a pet parent to test and everything else expected from a good breeder, $ 1,000 is nothing:. And ETA You can see the problem with asking this question is that people who a) never going to buy from a breeder, even a good b) used to buy cheaper BYB dogs and c) people just do not understand the concept of race and dogs are not cheap:. Loki So the logic that must spend 200 on a Gold spoiled more than likely or to develop temperament problems if not genetic. That, of course, assuming that the life that grows too long or even look like a GR that more than one breed puppy, so it will the best long term investment time only for a contract? A contract which incidentally also held the breeder responsible for certain things as much as the owner. ...... Law and in fact anyone who is familiar with a race can tell the difference. you do not have to be a judge of the creation, you still have to know your race should be to move and act.
