Dog Breeders Japan Q&A
we're planning to get a puppy in the summer holidays?
we've always wanted a puppy (really the kids, mother just does it for them) and it has to be good for allergies and stays within the limit of 10 kg. Naturally, I thought of a breed such as a shi tzu, or maltese, or even a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, because though that breed isn't particularly for allergy people, we once were friends with one and it stayed in our house and we loved it so much and my reaction in allergies to her didn't show too much. well, i'm not even sure if i'm allergic to dogs; but i am to cats.
anyhow, we live in tokyo in japan, and i've read all about choosing dogs and their behaviors that vary in breeds. but how am i to find such breeders, really? does anybody know any breeders here within the city, or at least find anyone of these breeders than meet the requirements i just said? thank you!
*Good* breeders only focus on one or two breeds of dog not a dozen. You should visit local Confirmation Dog Show Events because it's a great place to meet breeders and maybe spend time with some dog breeds your interested in.
Try looking for local shelters/ breed specific rescues.
Also look for a breed specific club associated with the Japanese Kennel Club, they usually have a list of breeders to contact.
Visit this website, they may have a list of questions to ask a breeder to see if they're reputable:

Dog Breeders Japan Q&A
What should you feed a Akita?
* Nods * Yes, I've been around the internet and talked with many owners and heard stories of some breeders. They said most of the best thing to do is refrain from feeding them any dog food that contains corn. All that I know. However, it was brought to my attention that most feed their dogs with the right kind of fish oil that can be digested. My friend says Brad is used because it can not go out and buy the right fish every day, but under my conditions I can do it. And the rules say that the best diet to feed an Akita fish, cooked rice and green vegetables such as lettuce, because it is the same diet lived in the prefecture of Akita, Japan. But if that is possible does not give them fish oil in their diet, like my friend Brad does. Is that alright?
Feed him Canidae all life stages kibble. It has omega 3 and 6 as fish oil. Sometimes I give my dog a fish oil capsule. Break open with a knife sharp and poured into my hand and let him lick it. Other good foods are Wellness, Solid Gold, Merrick, Blue Buffalo, Innova, ORIJEN. Canidae say it is only as good like the others and still very cheap. Connect your postal http://www.canidae.com to see where to get it in your area. I have also discovered a variety called frozen raw diet of nature that is too good, but expensive. I use it as a supplement. that has a website too. Just do not think anything you can buy in a grocery store or Walmart or something more ... Petsmart blue buffalo is the exception. You are right about the corn and some products so you just stay away from it and do not let anyone tell you that Science Diet is a good cause food NO. It is not just garbage, garbage is very expensive!
