Looking for a Roborovski in the US?
Hey there! I'm a pretty experienced pet owner. I've owned fish, lizards, a bird, a guinea pig, a rabbit, ferrets, cats, dogs, and many, many hamsters. I've owned At least 5 Syrians, and even more Russian Dwarfs. I even attempted to breed some Dwarfs, but 'retired' after two litters.
I haven't owned any hamsters for quite some time now, but I've always wanted to get a Roborovski. They're relatively new in the states, so I can't seem to find them anywhere. I live in New Jersey, so any breeder or shop that has them within the state would be great.
Does anyone know a good source for purchasing one? Thanks!
Thanks for the suggestion, but I don't see any on craigslist in my area. In fact, I mostly see people looking for hamsters. Go figure! Ha.
i live in Maine and our local pet store has them (actually i work there) we get them from a supply store out of mass. i would think that if you asked your local pet store they would special order them for you...

hi I am looking for a Maltese female puppy (newborn to 16 weeks). I live in new jersey, so I'm looking for a good breeder in New Jersey or New York who is willing to give your puppy to our family at a reasonable price rates. do not need a professional show dog, so we're thinking about the price of $ 500-800. thanks!
There are two breeders in New York and two in New Jersey that are members of the American Kennel Club (AKC), and are the best option to avoid ending a dog from a puppy mill. Make sure you really go to the kennel and meet breeders, see the conditions under which the puppies are bred and raised, and ask by the testimonies of previous buyers. The breeders will be pleased to see that you are diligent in buying a puppy from people who are professional and caring. Breeders makers asked to complete a detailed questionnaire, make sure the puppy is spayed or neutered before delivering to you (or request a non-refundable deposit does not deliver the papers of the dog until the arrangements to be sterilized to yourself), and formally agree to take the dog for free if it is no longer able to care him for any reason. Failing to do any of those things is a red flag for an irresponsible breeder, and possibly a puppy mill. Avoid. Moreover, because they have no intention of showing your dog, you should not rule out a puppy from a shelter. You are actually very likely to find a purebred dog in a shelter, but as you can imagine, do not come with your documents by hand. Good luck!
