Should i stay away from dog breeders who are not kennel club registered?
Well i was just looking around at chihuahua puppies i firstly looked at the kc breeders. Then just looked at other websites and 1 came up with a puppy in my area and says that it isn't kc registered is this a bad sign?
I've had many dogs (and other animals) during the course of my life. Some I have bought from reputable breeders both kc registered & not. Others have been given to me or I have paid a small amount for. You should decide this for yourself & be tough when you go to view the puppies. i.e. are the dogs kept in good surroundings, do they seem happy & well cared for, do their coats look clean & glossy and can both the parents be seen. Also ask the breeder if they can provide any names of previous clients who can show relations of the current litter & can speak for them. Good reputable breeders will keep in contact with past buyers.
I can only speak for myself when I say the best dog I ever had was not from a KC registered site but this is not to say your experience would be the same.
My elder sister has also quite recently had bud luck with dogs she bought from kc registered breeders & can do nothing about it as she is not prepared to hand her dogs back due to the bond she now has with them after 6 months of ownership (they are her boys & she loves them dearly regardless of their faults).
Mistakes can happen in breeding any animal & deformities can happen both very visual & minor regardless of how careful the breeding pattern is...ask any animal farmer (if you know one).

What are some suggestions kennel name? I am not a backyard breeder or a puppymill. I only breed a litter to improve the breed. Im gonna join dog clubs and dog shows to attend! I'm not planning to do this for money, Im planning on doing as a hobby for the love of the breed I have done a lot of research about the breed, and breeding in it!
What are the geographical features of the place where you live? Is common name of a kennel after a big river or a mountain. There is even a kennel in Canada is named after the sound a goose makes "Gahonk." We also have a friend who is the last name "Wright", so his kennel name is "JustWright" Ours is "SweetBreez" and name was taken from the name of a recording that our son-in-law made.
