How to go about finding a reputable American Pit Bull Terrier Breeder in the Middle TN area?
I'm not asking for me. My cousin is getting a new dog for her family and her breed of choice is the American Pit Bull Terrier. Which from what I understand in her area, Middle TN (near Nashville). Reputable APBT breeders are hard to come by. All you find are people breeding those Gator Pits and American Bullys. She lives way out in the hills though.
What kind of advice can I give her to help her find a reputable APBT breeder in her area?
(I'm not in the area so I can't help too much as in find specific breeders, but I would like to point her in the right direction. She has a 7 year old son and a 5 year old daughter)
ADD: She said she is hoping to get one that is Brindle or Fawn in color
And a male. Her other dog in the house is a female and she doesn't do well with other females, just males
I agree with Ashley, go to dog shows in your area. Don't get pressured or guilt tripped into getting a dog from the shelter, it's your own personal choice, personally I would only go through reputable breeders. Here are some breed clubs in TN
