What should i feed my German Shepherd puppy?
My problem is that the really good dog foods aren't readily available where i live like Canidae, Solid Gold, and Innova. Nutro is though and I'm seriously considering that. I had a long talk with her breeder about what to feed her and she really gave it some thought as she knows that not everyone can afford the more expensive brands...and in my case...they just aren't readily available. She said to stay away from pedigree or purina...but eukanuba MAY be ok. What do you think? Should i stick with the Nutro?...BTW i live in Nebraska...the closest town where Canidae is available is omaha...while i COULD get access to it now..i'm moving next month...and it will be out of reach....i'm getting the puppy in March.
I use to feed my huskies nutro but eventually I switched to IAMS. I couldn't afford to feed three dogs Nutro and Iams is a better solution and a little more affordable price. I didn't see any difference in their health or their coates. They are all happy and healthy. Iams dry puppy food for large breeds did a great job for my girls.

Nebraska dog breeders?
I am looking for a breeder of large dogs that are near Omaha, Nebraska. I prefer either a small breed dog that is not a yorkie or a shih tzu, or if no Good breeders small dog breeder who breeds golden retrievers work as well. I am a big fan of shaggy dogs and my neighbors have a havaton which is one of the dogs sweetest I've ever known! The reason I said that Shih-Tzu is that we've had a bad expierience and so did our neighbors with Shih-Tzu and my family decided we will not get another. I would point out that I have nothing against the race, my family is that I think is pretty stupid, but that's why I said no shih-tzu. A havaton, for those of you who do not know, is a cross between a havanese and Coton de Tulear.
Ok first question, what is a havaton? About second question, what kind of dog you want, you are not given to much information. third to be very careful that there are a lot of puppy mills in the middle west. decide to play then you need to contact the AKC and ask about the race that decided and where you can locate a breeder. better yet, just go to shelters or rescue groups and take one of them
