Spaying your dog?
Is spaying and nuetering the same thing or do you have to spay AND nueter your dog. I want to spay it so it wont get pregnant and you wont have to worry about anything else. What other shots do you need to give it. Not nesecarilly need but would be good to do. Like rabies shot or any other.
I also have another question. For any people who live in florida or in the orlando area do you know a place where you can find dog breeders.
One more question. When a baby dog for example a baby chihuahua wants to go potty do you have to take it outside?
Will it just go anywhere when its a baby? Do they lift their leg? I know it sounds wierd but just to know.
Castration:
Neutering is for boys.
Spaying is for girls.
I don't recommend you do it.
If it is pedigree and/or champion you can get a good extra income if you don't castrate it.
As for question two, you need to train it with paper on the floor first and slowly teach it to go outside.
Dogs like Chihuahuas can go in cat litter boxes if you don't
have a garden.
Spay removes all the female reproductive organs.
Neutering removes the male testicles within the ball sacks and some vets remove the ball sack altogether.
Neutering is not recommended at young age and is not required. It just calms down the male.
Spaying is not recommended at all and can do the female
harm especially at young age and it is not required, it just prevents the dog from becoming pregnant.
This is the same for cats and most other animals.
I know this may be tough but it doesn't sound like you have
much knowledge at all, please consult a vet and buy a good
book for more details.
