What are Good & Bad Australian Shepherd Bloodlines OR Breeders?
I hear Twin oaks prominently carry epilepsy?
I want to look at puppies that have these bloodlines:
-Briarbrook
-Fairoaks*
-Mistretta
-Legacy
*Does the Fairoaks lineage carry Twin oaks lineage? I HOPE NOT!!! Should I just ask the breeder that question? Also how do you tell on the pedigree when a dog has inbreeding?
WHAT ARE BREEDERS OR LINES TO BE AWARE OF AND ONES TO LOOK FOR? I AM IN PORTLAND OREGON AREA IF THAT HELPS.
If you have never heard of fairoaks or mistretta how do you not like them?

Comfort Retrievers in / near CA?
My wife has fallen in love with comfort retrievers after seeing them on the internet. I wonder if anyone knows of any * 'of comfort retrievers breeders in California, Oregon, Nevada and Arizona so we can see them in person, so you could add a couple of our family without forcing them to be shipped. We are in the Bay Area SF, but anything between 10 hours (Portland to Phoenix) would not be out of the question for us. Thanks in advance. * I am aware that CR is not a real recognition of the race, and I understand the objections that some people have related to "dog breeders of mixed race. I am also aware that physical traits and personality of retrievers and comfort could be almost a combination of parental races. However, I'm still looking for this information, however.
Why not just get a cocker spaniel? These dogs are supposed to have the temperament and size in every aspect anyway Cocker, I hardly see, all those features of Gold in them (some have more gold face) is likely to be much easier than trying to find a Retriever healthy comfort? People are always willing to talk about how horrible it is to support breeders of mixed race (I agree) but it is not only a moral issue, never do health testing to parents and also produce many litters a year, that means you'll end up with a puppy who can not make it past 2 years old. Both breeds are very prone to multiple life-threatening health problems, making it suitable breeding even more important. If she is more partial to Golden then take a mixture of gold.
