Puppymills??? Explain?
People say that puppies from the petshop come frm puppymills?
Couldnt they also come from good breeders that take care of their dogs & puppies and then sell them to a petshop because they just didnt want anymore dogs and it wa too much money?
couldnt that be a posibility?
i was thinking of getting a dog and i saw some cute healthy-looking dogs. the petshops said that their mother was missing a tail so 2 puppies turned out with tails and the other 2 didnt

help!, right now im really confused with these puppymill things
should i just go to the RSPCA or a shelter???
while it could be a possibility that a 'responsible breeder' would give their overflow of puppies to a pet store it is highly unlikely!
* most responsible breeders plan their litters and most of the puppies are paid for litters in advance, and they plan the litters so their aren't too many puppies! they don't breed all their dogs at the same time, so they can have a few litters in the year
* also i have found most breeders will interview you, to ensure that their puppies only go to the BEST of homes and they want you to see how the puppies are raised and you can see the cleanliness of the kennels and meet the parents and see how the breeds interact and if it''s the proper breed for you
* the puppies raised in the breeders homes and that stay until they find homes are more socialized! they don't spend all day in a pen or glass box at the pet store waiting for some person who is willing to pay tons for them....
i personally would only buy directly from a breeder or rescue from a shelter.... many places say that they "don't support puppy mills" but honestly there is no real way to tell... they can forge the paperwork and i think it's wrong to keep the puppies all locked up until someone is ready to look at them. and also the puppies are at the pet store 24/7 even when noone is there.... at the breeders there is someone there making sure they are happy and healthy all the time!
i woun't support the continuation of pet stores as it is a sad and cruel way to "display" puppies!
