Siberian Husky price?
Is $400 too much to pay for a siberian husky? Or is it a good deal? From a breeder who is getting the first shots, deworming and sending home with some food, a toy and blanket with the dog.. "The mom is actually an alaskan husky she has some german short haired pointer in her, she is from a racing kennel and is a yukon quest dog", is what the breeder had told me. But I think the dad is pure, as he is absolutely GOREGEOUS, Is that worth the price if she isnt even siberian, will the puppies look like genuine huskies??
No, of course they won't look like purebred huskies, because they aren't! I would never pay that much for a mixed breed dog or even a purebred dog if it was back yard bred.
Since you don't seem to be terribly concerned about whether it's a purebred or not, why don't you check out petfinder.com or a local shelter? There are often huskies and husky mixes at my local shelter.
Another thing I wanted to add is that huskies are NOT for an inexperienced dog owner. They are beautiful dogs, I agree, but I personally would never own one. They are very independent, they need a lot of exercise and mental stimulation, and are also known for their ability to escape out of anywhere.
Really do some serious research before you decide to get this breed, even if you only get a husky mix.
