Im thinking the best idea is to keep on looking in re-homing centers and in news papers and to not give up on it.
My brother is complaining cuz twice he has been to get a rescue dog and all the ones he likes have been reserved or are going to a new home.
But I think its to soon to get another dog after the one we used to have called Billy died,I think he shud be able to die in peace.
But the thing is you can tell Missy is missing Billy but I know it will pass.
I am thinking of getting Missy spayed as I have been told it stops the risk of her getting cancer when she is older.
She is a very hyper,nutty,very loving and very friendly and I think its not fair to put such a nice dog in harms way of health risks.
My worry getting her spayed will calm her down,or change how she is in some way.
I have been told there is a chance getting her spayed might not change the way she is.
Spaying should not effect Missy's character -- but be sure that it's not while she's in season or shortly thereafter...there is a fairly strong risk she'll have a false pregnancy if she's spayed during a high hormonal time frame.
I think you're making the right decision...and tell your brother to be patient! The right dog will come along.

i had to re-assign the best dog ever 2 years ago due to personal reasons I broke his heart so is there any way I could trace the new owners I do not want him back I understand that a family is no one dog now, but certainly I would love to see it, the name of a rescue center is so far above her in the north east in the UK was a German shepherd named rottie x im up to Redcar anyone any good advice for just anwser please this is a genuine question, thanks. Thanks mom of three, I did try this, basically said you know how many of these dogs that we get in the workload paper to back date, I offered to pay I offered to come in ahelp truth is I do not think they were very interested in what I wanted and I think she made a large donation this center and was willing to carry out and help.
