How can I find the Breeder of My Dog?
My mother bought her for me when I was younger for a x-mas present. We bought her from a pet shop. She is a golden retreiver. Shes getting older now and She has the best temperment and is so loving. I want to see if I could find her breeder, or a sibling of my dog that has reproduced. In simpler words I wont to find a dog related to her. Since she was bought from a pet shop is it possible to track down her records?
Any dog you get from a pet shop is from a puppy mill or a terrible breeder. She may be a loving dog, but please leave the breeder out of your next puppy purchase. You really don't want to support the terrible breeding practices that these mills and BYBs go through.
Find a reputable breeder through the Golden Retriever Kennel Club of your country or find an equally amazing dog at a shelter near you. Either will be completely worth your patience and responsibility.
