is this false advertising..?
My partner & I recently moved into a nice place with a decent back & front yard, we decided to get 2 puppies to keep each other company, and my partner & I some company. We looked at a site online where we found a yorkshire terrier, then a french bulldog from the same seller, &100 ONO- in melbourne metro who advised we would have to answer questions to prove suitability, as his father was a breeder who recently died & the son couldn't take care of them as he is an archeologist & just wanted them to go to good homes, He then advised the puppies would be free! He accepted our request to adopt and said it would be fine to collect the dogs. Not long after this he advised he moved to Texas & we'd have to pay to fly the dogs over! That is around $1100 USD!! Not only this, but he is advertising about 8 other dogs! What should I do about this?

If no money has changed hands, then I suggest you simply forget the deal and find new puppies. If you have already paid, then tell him you are unwilling to pay to have to dogs shipped and ask for your money back.
IDK about false advertising. If his father was a breeder then its likely he would have several dogs. But the issue is the shipping costs he is now asking for, correct? Just tell him that was never part of the agreement and ask for your money back.
