German Boxer Breeders Q&A

How much does a female dog cost?

I want to know how much a new born Siberian Husky costs. Or a price range, it could be from the pet store to a breeder price. I just want an idea. And NO LECTURES! I don't want any kind of lecture on how to take care of a dog, I have a four year old female Yellow Lab and a one year old German Shepperd/Boxer mix. So believe me i know what i'm getting in to. Just need the price, thanks!

First: Newborn pups cannot be sold: they need to be weaned from the mother first

Second: It depends on the bloodline of the sire and dam as to what price you will pay.

Third: Females cost more than males because you have the chance to breed them to a decent sire when they are of age and produce money for yourself.

Fourth: If you are going to breed a dog, you should have vet visits for the dam and have homes for the unborn pups lined up even before they are born. If you are not going to breed or have no intention of breeding quality dogs (It is hard to find homes for the puppies if no one wants them) get your dog spayed to prevent accidental breeding. (this is how most dogs end up in pounds and shelters, etc.)

*I cannot really give you a price of a Siberian Husky pup, each breeder has their own prices, and it all depends on the quality of the dog. If the mother and father were trained for certain things the price will be increased, or if they are just family dogs the price will most likely decrease*

Hope I helped:)

German Boxer Breeders Q&A

What breeds do you think are my puppies?

Hi, I was hoping you could please help me in identifying the breeds of dog for my two puppies. Both just turned one in June and both weigh about 50 pounds. I bought them at a pet store, this was, unfortunately, before I had heard about Puppy Mills (not that I would not have come to my dogs, both are very well educated and in excellent health), so I had thought that a responsible breeder had sold the store (I was only just 12). People working in the pet store had said that Lily was a laboratory-German between Pastor and Sophie was a lab / boxer cross. (You will find what dog is that on the site) Yes, I would appreciate if you could give me an idea of what I think my dogs. http://www.xanga.com/lily_and_sophie Thanks and hope you can help me!

Yellow lab / German shepherd mix is my guess:. photo lab shepherd mix http://www.ourcompanions.org/images/outreach/zephyr-web.jpg http://www.sheprescue.org/images/AC 20faces% . jpg http://www.saveadog.org/adoptsuccess/sm_GumpetteKY.jpg
