Has anyone seen the Shepadoodles in the paper today?
These cuties have a Poodle for a father and a German Shepherd for a mother (www.thesun.co.uk has a picture if you want to check it out). They are the sweetest wee things but I think they look just like Labradoodles. What mix of dogs do you think would make interesting puppies?
This is a hypothetical question and I never intended to upset anyone. I assume these dog owners have checked with their vet before going ahead with the crossing so I hope there were no difficulties or problems with the pups or their parents. Please don't jump down my throat for what was an inncoent wondering. Thank you.
My puppy is a Jack Russell x Silky Terrier cross and it is a very interesting mix. Fortunately, he seems to have gotten some of the best traits of each breed and although he is smart and alert like a Jack Russell, the Silky's lap dog personality means he is a bit calmer than your average JRT.
Appearance-wise, he is also interesting--he basically looks like an all-brown rough-coat Jack. Here are a couple of pics:
