Is there a puppy sale age requirement in georgia?
I just bought a great dane pup about 3 weeks ago and to my horror he became deathly ill within 5 days of me having him we took him to the vet and found out that he had a testicular hernia. his surgery was 1600 dollars and the breeder says that she would have only refunded my money if I had let him die!! crazy right? well anyway i payed for his surgery and know i am trying to see if there is a loop hole i can find so that i can get my money back i know some states have age limits and what not i got my pup at 6 weeks.
There are only a handful of states in the U.S. that have minimum age requirements for puppy sales. Georgia is not one of them. However, that doesn't mean you can't file a complaint in small claims court to try to recoup at least some of the money you spent at the vet. Sorry you had to learn the hard way about the 'buyer beware' rule.

If you are searching the Internet, you will not find the right one. Dogs should be purchased only responsible breeders do not Internet puppy or classified advertising sites. Start by contacting some of the breeders listed here: http://www.gdca.org/ This is the Great Dane Club of America. This site also has information on types of livestock that you should use - that is, of course, if you want a healthy dog and do not want to support farmers backyard and puppy mills.
