Are Greater Swiss Mountain Dog/Labrador Retriever Mix water/hunting dogs?
I might be adopting a 9 month old. Just wondering if they like the water and are hunting dogs or if I can still train 9 month olds. Also how big do they get? Any information would be great!
Greater Swiss Mountain dogs were bred to herd and be all purpose farm dogs, not hunters. A mix can have any traits but if you want a hunting dog, this is probably not the one to get. Any hunting ability would be a real long shot. Both breeds are large so probably in the 80 to 100 pound range.
